The Burnett Calvert Hospice House began accepting patients in January of 2010. Known as “the house that love built,” it is a six bed residential home designed for Calvert County residents in hospice care who require more skilled care than those at home can provide. The Hospice House is conveniently located in Prince Frederick.
The BCHH is manned around the clock by Calvert Hospice staff. This includes an RN Case Manager, Social Worker, Chaplain, Medical Technicians, and Volunteers. Staff assists patients with activities of daily living, medication administration, pain management, and symptom control.
We encourage family and friends to visit as often as possible. The house features common areas where families can spend time with their loved ones. The deck serves as a comfortable place for patients and families to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Room and board for the Burnett Calvert Hospice House is private pay or based on a sliding scale for qualified Calvert County residents. It may also be covered by some insurance plans. Our hospice staff works to accommodate patients from all backgrounds and financial situations.
