For 35 years, we’ve served thousands of patients and families in Calvert County. We depend on your donations so we can continue supporting our community when we’re needed most. This year, instead of having another event, we wanted to do something different that will allow us to connect with our community to raise funds and to talk about hospice.
We’ve all been in the hospital at one time or another, and we’ve known people who have died there. We at hospice have certainly had patients in the hospital, receiving great care, but they may have had only hours or a day to live and they just wanted to die at home. Our hospice nurses and social workers bend over backwards, working with the hospital to make that happen. Hospice brings you home.
We’ve probably all had the privilege of caring for a loved one at the end of life, or will have that privilege in the future. With hospice, family members don’t have to worry about providing care without support, patients don’t have to worry about the stress their care is placing on their family member. Hospice helps patients and families do whatever it is they need and want to do – together. With dignity. Hospice helps patients and families make the most of every moment they have together. Hospice helps us have no regrets. Hospice helps us make memories we’ll hold close forever. Hospice helps us make the most of that most precious of times.
