Fundraiser thank you fall 2019

Thanks to fundraisers – Summer and Fall

We are so thankful to the individuals and businesses who raised funds for us this summer and fall! This is a lengthy post because there are so many to record. We would like to thank the hosts of these events and the participants. Because of you, we are able to continue caring for those in the county who need us most.

SweetFrog in Prince Frederick raised $67.14 for Calvert Hospice during a fundraiser on June 13. Thank you to everyone who participated!

The Cozzens’s Concert was held on July 28, 2019 and raised over $60,000!  This year was their most successful event, with a benefit concert by Zoso, a Led Zeppelin tribute band, and Shelby Blondell. Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy this evening with us! We are so thankful for the many years of support from the Cozzens family. These concerts have raised nearly $135,000, which has had a tremendous impact on Calvert Hospice’s ability to expand its programs that are available to all residents of Calvert County.

Mrs. Moo’s raised $150.00 by holding a special fundraiser day for Calvert Hospice on July 30, 2019.  Thank you to all who came out to enjoy some delicious ice cream!

Kona Ice came to visit Calvert Hospice and helped everyone cool off with a sweet treat! We raised $85 with this fundraiser on August. 15.

Applebee’s held Dine to Donate fundraisers for us each month, raising $401 from August to October. Thank you to everyone who continues to participate in these fundraisers each month.

Gibson State Farm in Dunkirk held a “Quotes for Good” fundraiser for Calvert Hospice during the month of August and raised $300. They donated $10 for each person who received a quote during the month. Thank you to everyone who participated!

Anthony’s Bar and Grill held a football pool fundraiser for Calvert Hospice and sold squares for the entire 2019 season for the Redskins.  All 100 squares were sold out, raising $5,000.00!

Roy Rogers in Solomons donated a percentage of their sales on September 18 between 5 – 8 pm and raised $132 for Calvert Hospice.

Salsarita’s in Prince Frederick held a fundraiser on September 15 and raised $152!

Anthony’s Bar & Grill hosted a new fundraiser called “Rock & Rewind” on September 14. The event featured music from local bands Runaway Guns, Run Catch Rain, The Gods Hate Texas, David & The Dynamos, and Disappearing Ink, a cornhole tournament, silent auction, and a wide variety of family friendly activities. The event raised $3,629.71!

IHOP in Prince Frederick held a fundraiser on October 9 and raised $30.47 for Calvert Hospice. Thanks to those who participated!

The Pier in Solomons donated a portion of their proceeds to Calvert Hospice on October 17, which amounted to $250!

2019 was the 14th annual and final Poker Run for Calvert Hospice, and it was the most successful ever. The Poker Run was held on October 5 and raised $11,903.88! We are so grateful to the event’s organizers Chris Bowen and Heather Scott for their many years of support through this event. Thank you to everyone who has participated in this event over the last 14 years!

Dunkirk Vision held a fundraiser for Calvert Hospice the entire month of November and raised $840! They donated $10 for every complete pair of glasses ordered all month. Thank you to everyone who got new glasses!

The Unique Boutique Fine Art & Craft Show was held November 9 and 10 at Calvert High School. Each artist present donated an item for Calvert Hospice to sell, and we raised $606!

Chesapeake Grille & Deli donated a percentage of their sales on November 12 and raised $172 for Calvert Hospice.
